… You Visit the Campus (Safeguarding Information)
This version is written to be clear, calm, and welcoming while reinforcing the importance of safeguarding.
The Situation
We want every child and adult on our campus to feel safe, respected, and welcome. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility — and that includes visitors. This guide helps you understand what to expect when visiting Garnock Community Campus.
What We’ll Do
- Welcome you at reception and ask you to sign in
- Provide a visitor badge that must be worn and visible at all times
- Give clear guidance about where you can and cannot go
- Ensure a member of staff accompanies visitors who are not PVG-checked
- Monitor visitor access and movement across the campus for safety
How We’ll Support Your Child
- Make sure only authorised visitors are on-site
- Ensure all adults follow our safeguarding procedures
- Respond immediately to any concerns raised
- Keep learning spaces calm, safe, and disruption-free
How You Can Support Safeguarding on Campus
- Always report to reception first — do not enter through side doors or follow pupils in
- Wear your visitor badge at all times
- Never take photos or videos unless permission has been given
- If you see or hear something that worries you, speak to a member of staff immediately
- Respect staff instructions and pupil confidentiality
