…when you receive a progress report about your child.

The Situation

Reports are a key part of how we share your child’s progress in learning, wellbeing, and next steps. They’re written to be clear, honest, and supportive.

What We’ll Do

  • Issue reports at key points in the school year as per the Campus calendar.
  • Provide information on progress, effort, strengths, and next steps.
  • Use language that is accessible and informative.
  • Offer opportunities for follow-up or discussion if needed.

How We’ll Support Your Child

  • Pupils are involved in learning conversations which inform reports. They should be aware of the content of reports before they are issued.
  • Help pupils to reflect on their own learning and set personal goals.
  • Celebrate progress and offer support for areas needing improvement.

How You Can Support at Home

  • Read the report together and talk positively about it.
  • Ask your child how they feel about what’s been shared.
  • Focus on effort and next steps, not just grades.
  • Contact us if you’d like to discuss anything further.
