The Young Solo Performer of the Year competition concluded with two exceptional days of music-making, showcasing the dedication, skill and confidence of our performers across Garnock Community Campus. This year’s winners’ concert and Senior Final provided a fitting finale to a vibrant and busy period for our young musicians.
Day 1: Young Solo Performer of the Year
The competition reached an exciting climax with the Winners’ Concert and Senior Final. Performers from across the campus demonstrated remarkable musicality, and the judging panel had an extremely difficult task in selecting the overall champions.
Overall Primary Winner: Samuel Crabb – Beith Primary School (Drum Kit)
Overall Junior Winner: Daniel Tipping – Voice
Overall Senior Winner: Jake Kenny – Bass Guitar
Senior Runner-up: Hannah Adair – Voice
We extend warm congratulations to all participants for their hard work, but in particular to our overall category winners. A special mention goes to Jake Kenny (S6), who will now proudly represent Garnock Community Campus at the NAC Final in February.

Day 2 celebrated a wide range of instrumental talent across multiple categories, with pupils from S1 to S6 performing confidently before the judging panel.
