Garnock  S3/4 Netball Team competed in the Ayrshire Semi-Finals, on Thursday the 26th of March —an excellent achievement in itself. While they didn’t come away with the win, they represented the school exceptionally well throughout.

Garnock delivered a spirited and determined performance against a strong Stewarton side, showing resilience, teamwork, and determination from the first whistle to the last. Despite the result not going their way, Garnock can take great pride in what was an impressive and hard-fought display.

Throughout the match, the team demonstrated excellent ambition and commitment, contesting every ball and refusing to back down. Their work rate across the court was outstanding, with players supporting each other consistently and maintaining a positive attitude in the face of tough opposition.

There were several standout moments for Garnock. Daisy Campbell showed incredible tenacity, fighting for every single ball and setting a fantastic example with her determination. Alyssa Whyte impressed with her shooting ability, showing composure and accuracy under pressure. Meanwhile, Rhona Stuart delivered a tireless performance, covering the court relentlessly and driving her team forward.

The full team—Rhona Stuart, Caitlin Nimmo, Haddy Stevenson, Alyssa Whyte, Lily Buttle, Daisy Campbell, Emily Stewart, Skye Jamieson, and Joanne Ekissi—worked incredibly well together, producing some excellent passages of play and strong passing sequences that highlighted their progress and potential.

A special mention goes to Haddy Stevenson, who was named Player of the Match for her outstanding contribution, as well as Daisy Campbell, who earned Players’ Player in recognition of her effort and impact.

Beyond the performance itself, Garnock exemplified their school values of growth, ambition, and determination, while also showing kindness and respect towards both teammates and opponents throughout the game.

Although the result did not fall in their favour, Garnock’s journey to the Ayrshire Semi Finals—winning every game in their league rounds—is a fantastic achievement. This performance will give them great confidence moving forward, and they should be extremely proud of everything they have accomplished.
