To say goodbye — and thank you — to the teachers who supported her throughout her time at Garnock, S6 pupil Lynx made break time a little sweeter last week.
On Friday, Lynx, who is heading to study Professional Cookery at City of Glasgow College in August, baked a batch of cupcakes for staff and invited teachers to sign a special memory book to take with her on her next academic adventure.
“I wanted to make a speech and let everyone know how much I appreciate their help over the years at school, especially Ms Beardsworth, Mrs Gilgallon and Ms Darling in Home Economics,” said Lynx.
“It seemed appropriate to make some cakes for them as a way of thanking them for all their help over the years at school.
“I am a little sad to leave, but I am looking forward to learning from MasterChef winner Gary Maclean.”
The thoughtful gesture was a lovely way to mark the end of Lynx’s time at Garnock, and we wish her every success as she begins this exciting new chapter.
Some of the sixth years also popped in to show off their signed shirts as the school year draws to a close.
