Staff from Garnock campus put their best feet forward on Sunday to take part in the Kiltwalk. The team was raising money for the Megan’s Space charity.

Headteacher Alan MacDougall who was part of the team said: “A huge thank you to all staff who took part in the Kiltwalk and to everyone who sponsored and supported along the way.

“14.5 miles, great atmosphere, and high spirits throughout. Along the route, there were some incredibly powerful and inspiring stories which act as reminders of both hardship and the difference people are choosing to make.

“We were proud to walk in support of Megan’s Space and, along the way, connect with Jenny and Rob, Megan’s parents and founders of the charity.

“Crossing the finish line with their banner was a special moment and a chance to promote the important work they do.

“Their impact on our Campus has been significant. Megan’s Space now supports us with two days of counselling each week, ensuring our young people can access support quickly, at no cost to the Campus. When we needed them most, they stepped up and I am proud we have been able to give something back.

“So far, we have raised an incredible £2,500, far exceeding our original £500 target—an outstanding achievement.”
