Fifty-two S2 pupils enjoyed a taste of college life on Tuesday with a visit to Ayrshire College’s Kilwinning campus.
The group took part in a range of hands-on activities, experiencing everything from woodworking and fitness to forensic science. Pupils had the chance to lift fingerprints from a mock crime scene, test out the college gym and explore a variety of courses on offer.
The visit also gave students the opportunity to experience another important part of college life – the canteen – with everyone enjoying lunch on campus.
Staff at Ayrshire College praised the pupils for their enthusiasm, behaviour and willingness to get involved throughout the day.
S2 pupil Eilidh Walker said: “It was good to see so many different courses.
“We saw robots and hairdressers, we ran on a treadmill and we also had a great lunch too.”
