…around how we gather medical information.

The Situation

It’s important we have accurate, up-to-date medical information for every child. This helps us respond safely and appropriately if your child has a medical condition, allergy, or treatment plan.

What We’ll Do

  • Send forms or digital links requesting medical updates. Where this is complex or we require clarity, a member of our team will contact you.
  • It may be necessary for you to attend the Campus to meet with your child’s Pastoral Teacher or Primary Principal Teacher to discuss medical needs. When this happens, the staff member will lead your through our medical information forms and upload this information onto our system. Appropriate procedures will then be put in place.
  • We will keep all information confidential and share it only with relevant staff.
  • Contact you if we need clarification or a care plan update.

How We’ll Support Your Child

  • Ensure staff are trained and aware of any medical needs.
  • Handle medication in line with NHS and council procedures.
  • Respond quickly in emergencies or if your child becomes unwell.
  • Respect your child’s privacy while keeping them safe.
  • We will review all medical record every 6 months.

How You Can Support at Home

  • Complete all forms fully and return them promptly.
  • Let us know immediately if anything changes.
  • Provide any medication clearly labelled, with instructions if needed.
  • Keep emergency contact details up to date.
