Attention all Garnock pupils! The News Desk is thrilled to announce our monthly creative writing competition. Each month, we provide a new theme, and the winner will receive a prize and get their work published on the school website for everyone to enjoy.
This Month’s Theme: A Horror Story with a Cliffhanger!
For October, we want to be spooked, thrilled, and left hanging! Create a story that chills your readers, keeps them on the edge of their seats, and leaves them desperate to know what happens next. Be daring, be creepy, and be creative!
What You Can Submit:
- Short stories
- Poems
- Storyboards
- Comic strips
Deadline & Submission:
- All entries must be submitted by Friday, 31st October.
- Winners will be announced during the first week of November.
- You can submit your work directly to Ms Hughes’s classroom or via the submission form below.
Tips: Start planning now, think about suspense, create strong characters, and don’t forget to leave your readers wanting more!
