Mumford and Sons Prizefighter Album Launch and Album

REVIEW

As a lifelong fan of Mumford and Sons I was thrilled to make my way to Manchester on February 9 to enjoy one of the three intimate gigs at the Albert Hall in Manchester.

I went to the 9pm gig and it was amazing thought the venue was cramped but it was still good. They played songs from their sixth studio album and featuring singers including Chris Stapleton, Hozier, Gigi Perez and Gracie Abrams. It was a true privilege to see them play some old and new songs from the album which they released on February 20th.

The album was produced by Arron Dessner and has been described as layered and lush production style. The instrumentation is Mumford and son’s signature style combined with synthesizers and other folk and synth instrumentation and production started when the was recording the 5th album Rushmere.

The album consists of 14 songs with a runtime of 49 minutes, the track list includes here, the banjo song, run together and clover just to name a few. The album is like nothing the band has done before and hopefully they do more of the small gigs when release more albums.

Overall, the prize fighter has a different style to add their line-up and I wait for the next album.
