A group of our pupils have taken part in an exciting and successful robotics challenge.

Finlay Johnstone, Ruairidh Addies, Grace Howitt, Kaiden Grozier, Jack Mason and Thomas Ioannou have spent the past eight weeks designing, building and programming a LEGO Mindstorms robot. Their hard work paid off when they represented the school at a challenge day held at Glasgow University.

Competing against teams from other schools, the group impressed judges with their innovative design and technical skill, earning the award for Best Line-Following Robot!

As well as competing, the pupils also had the opportunity to speak with third- and fourth-year engineering students. They explored a range of current robotics projects taking place across the university campus, gaining valuable insight into the world of engineering.

The experience was both inspiring and rewarding, showcasing the pupils’ dedication and enthusiasm for STEM. Well done to everyone involved!
