Modern Languages: European Day of Languages Review

Last week in Modern Languages we have been learning about European Day of Languages. This is celebrated on the 26th of September. Mrs. Eck, former Modern Languages teacher and now Skills teacher, is married to the Head Chef of The Broadcroft Hotel in Kirkintilloch, Pascal. He also works at Kaffateria, in Glasgow. He kindly donated our breakfast for European Day of Languages.

What is European Day of Languages? European Day of Languages is a reminder of the importance of language learning in promoting intercultural understanding.

In Mrs. Marcantonio-Green’s and Miss McCafferty’s classes we did French Bowls. French Bowls is when you have metal balls that you roll towards a small wooden ball, and whoever is the closest to the wooden ball wins. It’s a lot of fun. Everyone was laughing and having a great time.

Some quotes from the pupils who took part were, “mad bussin’ for real” and “straight fire on skibbidy for real.”

Thank you to everyone who arranged this. Hope you enjoyed my review and got to experience European Day of Languages.

Stay connected!
