Have you ever seen the school shows? Maybe High School Musical or Mamma Mia? Perhaps you’ve even seen some of the older productions like Back to the 80s or Aladdin. Have you ever wondered how the props used in these shows are made? Well, now you can contribute to the school shows by helping to make them!
This club runs on a Monday at lunchtime and is led by Miss Coldwell. It is a wonderful opportunity for anyone with a love of theatre and the arts who may not want to be on stage. Instead, you can use your creativity and skills to help design and make the props that will be featured in the show.
The club is also ideal for anyone with a creative flair who enjoys hands-on activities. You will get the chance to try things like painting and papier-mâché, so if you enjoy making 3D creations—or would like to try—it is open to pupils from all year groups.
I also spoke to Miss Coldwell, who said:
“This club welcomes all pupils, no matter which subjects you take, and is a great way to connect with others while helping with the school show, Sister Act. I look forward to seeing you all there.”
So come along on Mondays at lunchtime and step into the role of a creative prop-making artist!
