Bored? Here are our Easter Holiday ideas!

The Easter holidays will be here before we know it, and some people may be stuck on what to do when they aren’t out and about, or in school. If you’re lost on what to do, here’s some hobbies and activities to pick up for the warmer weather.

Photography

Firstly, a creative one that keeps you active is photography. This is a personal hobby of mine and it’s very interesting. It helps you focus, enhances your creativity and gets you out in search of places to take photos of. You don’t even need a professional camera to do it, you can pick up your phone!

Crochet or Sewing

Secondly, due to the Scottish weather being temperamental and unpredictable, why not try crochet or sewing? This is a very good skill to have because, not only does it give you a longer attention span, but it helps save money in the future! You’d be able to repair things with sewing, and crochet is a very good business Idea. It’s a good thing to do during rainy or cold days!

Walking or Biking

How about something more active? Try walking or biking! The Scottish countrysides are a great place to go on walks, due to them being a piece of land without statutory rights. Biking is also a good hobby, due to its active nature and exploring involved.

Music

What about instruments? All instruments are exceptional and good to learn, it depends on your life what you can do. For example, I play guitar because it’s easy to carry, fun to play and there’s lessons near me. But piano is good, though you would need room for it. Same for bigger instruments like cellos or tubas! This is a good hobby because you can self teach or go to lessons, it’s a very flexible industry.

Writing

Finally, you could pick up writing! I understand it may not be for everyone, but it’s a good skill to grow. Even if you don’t want to be an author or a journalist, it develops your writing skills and grammar skills, which will give you bigger opportunities during work. It makes it easier to send emails if you develop your skills! It also really benefits your creativity! If you write about real stories or make up your own, it helps you get creative and helps you in many other subjects.
