Global Airlines Inaugural Flight

As a keen plane-spotter I enjoyed a trip to London last weekend. However, I did not leave Heathrow Airport. Instead, I enjoyed a thrilling day of plane spotting and boy did we have fun at the country’s busiest airport. Heathrow enjoys 83 million travellers jetting off each year and as a plane enthusiast, it was a welcomed change from Glasgow Prestwick and Glasgow International Airport. It was a great experience and something I would encourage anyone who has an interest in planes at all to go and experience all those planes.

It was a big week for plane enthusiasts as Global Airlines, the only operator to fly with A380-800 types of aircraft, will make its inaugural flight from Glasgow Int – JFK New York for only £100 operated by HiFly. The flight will depart at 11am local time (GLA) and will land at 12pm local time (NYC). The flight is expected to last six hours from take off to touchdown in NYC and will depart to Glasgow on May 19th and complete its first, round trip to and from Glasgow.
