Low Cost Gift Ideas

There are lots of ways we can be kind and show someone we care without splashing out and small acts of kindness here and there do a lot for our relationships with others and also with ourselves. So if you need a gift for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, a birthday, Christmas or just to show a family member you care, keep reading for no cost gift ideas.

Get Creative

  • A piece of art inspired by their favourite art style or who they are – look around their home for some clues if you’re not sure.
  • Edit a video for them of your favourite moments together. Bonus points if you can add their favourite song in the background.
  • Put together a fun performance, like music, a skit or a play
  • Create little vouchers for them that they can ‘ cash in ‘ at any point. These could be things like ‘a chore’ , ‘a joke’, ‘a hug’ etc.

Write Something for Them

  • Write them a letter telling them all the things that make them special.
  • … or write a poem or haiku telling them the same thing.
  • Write some kind notes and hide them around the house for them to find as the day goes on, or by following your clues.

Help Them Around the House

  • Do the washing up – just make sure that you put the dishes away too.
  • Do the laundry or ironing.
  • Water all the plants/ do some gardening.
  • Help with a project that’s been taking up a lot of their time – you could even just offer to do some thing for them as a gift if you aren’t sure, and they can choose what that is.

Plan an Activity Together

  • Collage together- use some old magazines and create little collages with positive affirmations or images that inspire you.
  • Go on a walk – get out the house together and visit a local park or a new area that you now they’ve wanted to see.
  • Make them a meal, and eat it together – yes this slightly cheating as you’ll need the ingredients, but making them a really nice meal and enjoying it with them can be so fun! Just make sure to cover the clean up after.

Hope this helps you out if you were stuck for ideas
